Turf construction
CHS has developed a reputation for its turf construction, building turf panels based on golf course construction specifications. We utilise sand profiles, drainage and additives to produce a free draining surface that allows year-round usage. We have a full range of low ground pressure earth-moving equipment, which can be laser guided to work within millimetre tolerance. These surfaces are then maintained to golf course standard using our range of cylinder mowers and commercial grade equipment. It is the preparation and preliminary work that creates an easy to maintain lawn with outstanding results.

Alistair Bethke is a registered builder holding the following classifications for domestic work:

- Retaining walls
- Earthworks
Over the past years we completed projects ranging in value from $1,000 to $1,000,000. These projects start with a prepared plan by a designer. We then design an infrastructure plan to cover irrigation, drainage, and lighting and power requirements. From this point we begin the quoting stage in conjunction with the client to meet budget expectations.
Each project is treated in the same way, with an emphasis on infrastructure and soil structure. The focus on plant development starts with drainage, soil selection and irrigation; with these components correctly installed, great plant growth follows.
Our hardscape construction follows a similar principle, with time spent with engineers to develop the correct footings and slab construction. We have established relationships with leading stone and paver suppliers, giving us a vast array of materials to work with.
We have extensive experience in working on large projects that utilise our earthmoving and transport division. We also have a full fabrication workshop ensuring that any custom items such as copper work and mild steel fabrications can be made to our specifications.
